Which profit figure is ₹1,586 crore?

The consolidated statement is in rupees million. It reports revenue of ₹161,802 million, or ₹16,180.2 crore. Total profit after tax is ₹16,097 million, or ₹1,609.7 crore. Of that, ₹15,856 million, or ₹1,585.6 crore, is attributable to owners; ₹241 million belongs to non-controlling interests. The release rounds the owners’ figure to ₹1,586 crore. These are not interchangeable profit measures. The 14.8% EBIT margin is also an operating measure, not a shareholder return.

Bonus shares are not the cash dividend

The proposed 1:1 ratio means one additional share for every eligible fully paid-up share, subject to the stated approvals and requirements. It is not confirmation that shares have already been allotted, nor a guaranteed doubling of investment value. The separate ₹15 dividend is cash per share. Its description as 300% relates to the ₹5 face value, not a 300% return on the market price. Record dates, eligibility and payment or allotment timing need their own exchange disclosures; this report does not invent them.

Compare revenue on the same currency basis

Reported US-dollar revenue rose 6.8%, while the company’s constant-currency comparison was 7.2%. The latter holds exchange rates on a comparable basis and is not a separate statutory revenue line. New-deal total contract value measures contract awards, not revenue already earned in this quarter. The financial statements also retain legacy Satyam-related disclosures and an auditor emphasis-of-matter note; the corporate-action announcement does not resolve those matters. The sources are documents from the same issuer, not independent assessments.
