Wipro reported higher revenue but lower net income for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. Its October 15 earnings release puts group gross revenue at ₹247.5 billion, up 9.1% from a year earlier, and net income at ₹32.0 billion, down 1.9%. These rounded figures are approximately ₹24,750 crore and ₹3,200 crore respectively. Revenue is sales income; net income is a profit measure after expenses and tax. They are not interchangeable.

Why the exact profit figures need care
The consolidated IFRS income statement reports revenue of ₹247,527 million, or ₹24,752.7 crore, and profit for the period of ₹31,997 million, or ₹3,199.7 crore. The separate profit attributable to Wipro’s equity holders is ₹32,006 million, or ₹3,200.6 crore. The statement assigns a ₹9 million loss to non-controlling interests. Do not attach the release’s 1.9% decline to the equity-holder measure without checking its own comparison. The rounded release numbers and the more precise statement entries are labelled separately here.
A segment margin is not the group’s net-profit margin
IT-services operating margin reached 16.5%, increasing by 0.5 percentage points from the previous quarter but falling by 0.2 percentage points from a year earlier. This describes operating performance in the IT-services segment, not the proportion of group revenue left as net income. Reported IT-services dollar revenue fell 0.1% sequentially, while the non-GAAP constant-currency measure was flat. Constant currency holds comparison exchange rates consistent to reduce currency-movement effects; it is not a separate amount of cash received.
Bookings, cash and the next-quarter outlook
Bookings represent the value of orders signed, including renewals and expanded contracts, with revenue recognised over the contract period. They are not quarterly revenue or profit. Wipro reported US$2,595 million of total bookings and US$674 million of large-deal bookings, down 22.9% and 58.6% sequentially in constant currency. The release defines large deals as at least US$30 million in contract value.
For the quarter ending December 31, Wipro expects IT-services revenue of US$2,571–2,625 million, equivalent to sequential constant-currency growth of −1.5% to +0.5%.
