The two-session comparison

Compared with September 28, the index was 37.79 points lower, a calculated decline of approximately 0.63%. That two-session calculation is different from the exchange’s single-day 0.46% change. It should not be described as a monthly return or a prediction for the next session.

Why the dated table takes priority

During verification, another chart panel on the same page used a different comparison base. CapKet used the explicitly dated September 30 and September 29 rows, which reconcile exactly with the 27.43-point decline, rather than mixing the chart’s figures into the daily report. This is a source-display limitation, not evidence of an exchange trading error.

DFM explains that its indices represent different parts of the listed market and that S&P DJI acts as calculation agent for selected indices. The DFM General Index is not interchangeable with the Sharia or UAE ESG benchmarks.

No opening level, company-specific explanation or futures substitute is supplied because those observations were not verified. See the UK futures update for a market whose session was still ongoing.
