The Bansal Wire stock split has a Friday, October 16, 2026 record date. The company’s September 24 notice and the NSE and BSE corporate-action lists agree on the date and the reduction in face value from ₹5 to ₹1.
One share becomes five—not five plus one
Bansal Wire’s notice says one existing fully paid equity share with ₹5 face value will be subdivided into five fully paid ₹1 shares, ranking equally in all respects. It also records shareholder approval at the September 17 annual general meeting.
The new shares replace the original unit. In a simple illustration, 10 old shares would correspond to 50 split shares. The total face-value amount remains ₹50: 10 × ₹5 before and 50 × ₹1 after. This is CapKet’s arithmetic, not evidence that a particular demat account has already received shares.

Face value is not a price forecast
A stock split divides a holding into smaller share units. It does not, by itself, create a new cash dividend, increase the business’s earnings or guarantee a higher total market value. ₹1 here is the nominal face value, not a promised exchange trading price.
That is different from a bonus issue, which capitalises reserves to issue additional shares. Neither label is a promise of an investment return. Investors should avoid judging the action simply by the larger number of shares shown in an account.
What remains to be confirmed
Both exchanges list October 16 as the ex-date and record date. The September notice fixes eligibility but does not establish that the future split, trading adjustment or credit has already occurred. Check subsequent issuer, exchange and depository notices for implementation; no demat-credit date or post-split quote is invented here.
