Orient Cables’ IPO has attracted search interest, but investors need to distinguish that attention from verified offer terms. Its SEBI-hosted abridged prospectus describes an offer of up to ₹552 crore: ₹320 crore of fresh shares and ₹232 crore offered by selling shareholders.

The document schedules bidding from September 25 to September 29, 2026. These are the prospectus dates, not confirmation of final subscription or completed allotment. KFin Technologies is named as registrar.

What the filing says, beyond the search headline

The manufacturer focuses on networking cables and related equipment. The prospectus warns that the issue price does not establish the price after listing and that sustained trading is not assured. A filing on SEBI’s website is not a recommendation or approval of the shares.

Google Trends India showed “orient cables ipo gmp” as active at 16:42 IST on September 29, with a 10K+ search-volume bucket and a 500% increase. This measures search interest—not verified bids, valuation or demand for shares.

Check your application, not a promised gain

SEBI explains that under Application Supported by Blocked Amount, or ASBA, application funds stay in the investor’s bank account while blocked. The required amount is debited on allotment. Applying and receiving shares are therefore different stages; readers should verify their own application and allotment records through official channels.

This article does not publish a grey-market premium, calculate a projected listing price or recommend participation. It also does not verify the price band, final subscription multiple or listing date. Adding an unverified premium to an offer price would not turn it into an exchange-confirmed future trading price.

What to watch

Check issuer, exchange and registrar notices for any timetable amendment, the final offer outcome and allotment information. Compare the relevant final document with the earlier offer schedule instead of assuming every expected milestone has occurred. More primary-document reporting is available in CapKet’s IPO coverage.
