Jio Platforms’ public offer is scheduled to open on 21 October and close on 23 October 2026. The official ₹1,065–₹1,119 price band means a minimum 12-share retail application costs ₹13,428 at the cap price, not ₹12,780. The lower amount applies only at the floor price.
The practical distinction is between the price at which an applicant bids and the final issue price, which has not yet been fixed. Reliance Industries’ two 14 October filings confirm the band, lot and timetable; NSE and BSE list the offer as forthcoming, not completed.

Fresh capital, not an existing-share exit
The offer consists of up to 27 crore newly issued shares. Unlike an offer for sale (OFS), where existing owners sell their holdings, this fresh issue raises money for the company. The abridged prospectus says net proceeds—gross collections after issue expenses—are intended for prepayment of specified borrowings of Reliance Jio Infocomm (RJIL) and general corporate purposes.
Multiplying 27 crore shares by ₹1,119 gives ₹30,213 crore before the employee discount. That is a cap-price calculation, not a confirmed net-funding figure. Eligible employee bids receive ₹54 off each share in their reserved portion; the discount does not apply to every retail application.
RIL shareholder eligibility is already dated
The shareholder reservation is for eligible individuals and Hindu undivided families who were public RIL shareholders on 14 October 2026, subject to the stated eligibility rules. Buying RIL after that reference date does not retrospectively meet it. A reservation is an application category, not an assurance of allotment.
Before applying, read the prospectus risks and confirm your investor category with the intermediary. The offer price is not a forecast of the listing price, and neither a minimum application nor shareholder eligibility guarantees shares or a profit. This report does not verify grey-market premiums, a final issue price, or completed allotment/listing.
