That is ₹706, or approximately 0.48%, below the October 6 evening benchmark of ₹1,48,473. It also stands ₹208 below today’s morning observation of ₹1,47,975. The daily and intraday comparisons are different measurements.

The table compares evening with evening. IBJA says its gold rates are per 10 grams and exclude 3% GST and making charges. A rounded per-gram display should not be substituted for the more precise 10-gram benchmark.
What this means for a jewellery comparison
Use the same purity, weight and observation session when comparing an offer with a benchmark. Ask a seller to identify the gold component, making charges and tax separately. IBJA’s national benchmark does not establish a shop-specific final bill, city premium, buyback value or guaranteed execution price.
Gold 916 and gold 999 are different purity categories. Their quoted numbers should not be compared as if they were prices for an identical item. This report contains no verified local retail quotation and does not attribute the move to an unverified market driver.
Why the session matters
The earlier morning reading was above the final PM benchmark. Using that morning number as an evening close would overstate the 999-gold benchmark by ₹208 per 10 grams. Neither observation is a continuous live quote, a futures-contract settlement or a guaranteed executable retail price.
