Daily change is smaller than the afternoon rebound

October 5’s PM gold-999 benchmark was ₹148,198. Comparing PM with PM gives an increase of ₹275, or approximately 0.19%, calculated by CapKet. The larger AM-to-PM movement should not be presented as the previous-day gain.

Purity October 6 PM, per 10g
999 ₹148,473
995 ₹147,879
916 ₹136,001

What a buyer can compare

A 999 specification denotes 99.9% purity. Use the matching purity column when comparing a bullion benchmark with a quoted product.

The 916 rate is ₹12,472 below the 999 rate for the same weight. That reflects different purity specifications, not a discount on identical metal. IBJA states that its benchmark rates exclude GST and making charges. Jewellery, coins and bars can also have different product premiums; ask the seller for an itemised quotation rather than treating the table as a final checkout price.
