What the exchange sources confirm
CME’s product overview identifies BZ Brent futures and a 1,000-barrel contract size. CME’s settlement guidance explains that a settlement is a separately determined reference used to mark positions to market. These documents explain the instrument; they do not verify the $108.78 historical observation.
ICE’s Brent contract is a separate exchange product with its own specifications. A generic Brent label is not enough to treat quotations across venues or delivery months as identical.
