Sanofi raised its 2026 outlook on 30 October after sales reached €14.444 billion in the third quarter. Sales increased 16.2% at actual exchange rates and 14.3% at constant exchange rates, which remove currency movements from the comparison.
The results cover the three months ended 30 September 2026 against the corresponding 2025 quarter. They should not be confused with the nine-month figures shown alongside them in the release.

| IFRS basic earnings per share | €2.52 | +9.6% | Consolidated income statement, page 17 |

Why the earnings figures differ
Sanofi’s business EPS is a supplementary, company-defined measure. The reconciliation adjusts IFRS earnings for several items, including intangible-asset amortisation, acquisition-related inventory expenses, restructuring, other gains and losses, litigation and tax effects. It is not simply IFRS profit under another name.
That is why the 22.0% actual-currency growth in business EPS should not be described as growth in reported IFRS profit. The official reconciliation shows both bases so readers can compare them without mixing the two.
What the upgraded outlook means
Sanofi now expects full-year sales growth in the low teens and business EPS growth in the mid teens, both at constant exchange rates. These are management forecasts, not completed annual results or an IFRS EPS forecast.
Using October’s average exchange rates, the company estimates a currency impact of about minus 1% on both annual sales and business EPS. Actual results can differ from that assumption.
