Orders do not equal immediate sales
Bookings record orders received, while sales recognise the work delivered under the relevant accounting rules. Large new orders can support a backlog without their full value appearing in the same quarter’s revenue. The release therefore does not justify treating SEK65.825 billion as sales already earned.
Organic growth is the issuer’s measure of growth excluding specified currency and acquisition effects. It should not be casually relabelled as the exact change in reported sales. Likewise, EBIT is operating income before interest and tax, not the company’s final net income.
Read the margin alongside the growth
The operating margin increased from 8.7% to 9.5%, a rise of 0.8 percentage points, or 80 basis points. A margin expresses operating profit as a share of sales; it is not a promised investment return.
The issuer’s interim report also contains nine-month figures. This article deliberately uses the separate July–September column so that the quarter is compared with the same three months of 2025. Future programme deliveries and cash receipts remain separate milestones from the current order announcement.
