Regeneron’s third-quarter revenue increased 36% to $5.116 billion, while GAAP diluted EPS rose to $18.45. The biotechnology company’s 30 October release reported non-GAAP diluted EPS of $20.07 for the same quarter.

A separate expansion of its Sanofi collaboration includes a $1 billion upfront payment to be recognized as collaboration revenue in the fourth quarter of 2026. It is not part of the Q3 revenue total.

Revenue and partner product sales are different

Regeneron’s release reported Dupixent global net sales of about $6.5 billion and expressly stated that those sales are recorded by Sanofi. They should not be added in full to Regeneron’s $5.116 billion revenue or described as another Regeneron revenue line.

GAAP net income was approximately $1.949 billion, while non-GAAP net income was $2.150 billion. The non-GAAP measures exclude specified items under Regeneron’s method. They provide supplementary information rather than a replacement for the reported accounts.

Do not book conditional milestones in advance

The expanded collaboration adds next-generation long-acting immunology antibodies. The issuer distinguishes the $1 billion upfront amount from the potential for up to a further $7 billion in future milestones. The latter is a maximum conditional opportunity, not an assured payment.

The timing is also material: the upfront amount is to be recognized in Q4, whereas the earnings table covers the three months ended 30 September. Comparing periods carefully avoids attributing third-quarter growth to a payment scheduled for accounting recognition later in the year.

What to watch

Watch Q4 recognition and future milestone conditions. Partner-recorded product sales, clinical progress and potential milestone amounts are not all Regeneron’s current revenue.
