RailTel Corporation of India has received a Letter of Intent from Munitions India Limited for data-centre and disaster-recovery infrastructure. Its 23 October 2026 exchange filing puts the estimated order value at ₹20,04,04,809 including tax, or approximately ₹20.04 crore.

The Q-Shakti (QA4.0) project is intended to support 13 locations. A Letter of Intent, or LoI, records the stated engagement at this stage; the estimate should not be read as revenue already earned or work already delivered.

What the official filing confirms

Item Verified terms Official evidence
Development Letter of Intent from Munitions India Limited; received 23 October 2026 at 12:33 Issuer record
Estimated amount ₹20,04,04,809 including tax, approximately ₹20.04 crore Issuer record
Project DC and DR centre on IaaS for Q-Shakti (QA4.0), supporting 13 locations Issuer record
Period Four-month go-live period plus six years; extendable by three years Issuer record
Execution-date field 28 February 2027; this does not mean the six-year service period ends then Issuer record
Commercial terms Quarterly invoicing; performance bank guarantee of 5% Issuer record

Why the two timelines need care

The annexure gives a four-month go-live period followed by six years of service, with a possible three-year extension. Separately, its execution-date field says 28 February 2027. CapKet has retained both entries rather than treating that date as the end of the entire six-year engagement.

DC means data centre. DR means disaster recovery: a separate recovery arrangement intended to help restore systems after disruption. IaaS, or infrastructure as a service, refers to computing infrastructure supplied as a service. These terms describe the project architecture, not a measured improvement in Munitions India’s operations.

Order value is not profit

The tax-inclusive amount is an estimate in the LoI. The filing does not disclose a project margin or the timing of revenue recognition. Quarterly invoicing also should not be converted into an assumed equal quarterly revenue figure: no such allocation is provided.

The extension is a possibility, not a completed award of an extra three years. Later issuer disclosures would be needed to establish actual delivery, recognized revenue or any change to the stated terms.
