Portal26 has paired its Managed Intelligence Platform, or MIP, with Point2 Academy to help technology-service providers offer AI management to business customers. The product is pitched as a way to turn oversight of clients’ AI use into an ongoing paid service. Its commercial success is not established by the launch material.

What the company says the offering covers

Component Company-described function Official source
AI visibility Find sanctioned and unsanctioned generative-AI tools and agents in a client environment. MIP announcement
Security and governance Risk detection, policy enforcement, data protection and audit capabilities. MIP scope
Value reporting Usage and value analytics intended to inform client discussions about AI spending. Platform page
Point2 Academy Partner training in deployment, client support, sales positioning and service delivery. Academy description

A managed service provider, or MSP, typically runs technology on a client’s behalf. Portal26 uses the term managed intelligence provider for an MSP that also oversees how clients use AI. That label describes its proposed service model; it is not a regulatory credential or an independent certification.

Monitoring is different from proving returns

The business rationale is that a provider could first identify unmanaged AI use, then offer governance and ongoing reporting. Whether a client will pay for those services, and whether the work improves the provider’s margin, depends on implementation and commercial terms. No customer revenue gain is verified here.

The announcement includes comparative performance and survey claims. This report does not adopt those figures because their underlying measurement and methodology were not checked. A product’s ability to display an estimated return also does not independently prove that a financial benefit occurred.

Questions for a buyer

Before contracting, a provider can ask which tools and agents are detectable, what client information is collected, which controls can actually enforce policy and what access is needed. Pricing, deployment coverage and a comparable before-and-after measure are separate questions from the product description.

The linked company pages document the offering and training scope. They do not establish an independently audited return, universal coverage of every AI tool or a guaranteed security outcome. This is an offering explainer, not a claim that a new launch occurred on October 19.
