Apple’s iPhone Duo pre-order window opened on October 16, ahead of scheduled availability from October 23. India is included in the initial group of more than 70 countries and regions in Apple’s launch announcement. Ordering ahead of release does not mean every configuration will arrive on that first day.
The useful distinction for buyers is between a product’s market launch, the delivery estimate for a particular order and the terms attached to its software. Apple’s October 15 update confirms the ordering schedule, while its September announcement supplies the country list and the later October 30 expansion to 28 additional markets.

A lease is not the same as buying the phone
Apple’s U.S. material also promotes a Klarna lease starting at $57.99 a month for a 24-month term, excluding taxes and trade-in credit. The footnote identifies a consumer lease, subject to eligibility and creditworthiness, rather than a purchase or loan. A low monthly figure therefore cannot be compared directly with the full retail price without reading the end-of-term options and other conditions.
That U.S. arrangement should not be presented as an offer available to Indian buyers. This report does not verify an Indian selling price, a local instalment plan or the delivery estimate for an individual order. Those should be checked on the applicable local checkout before payment.
AI availability needs a separate check
Apple describes Siri AI as beta software. Region and language restrictions apply, some server-based features have daily usage limits, and the company says expanded access to some such features will carry a fee in future. These are Apple’s disclosed conditions, not independent testing of the phone or a guarantee that every advertised function will be available at launch.
Check the selected storage option, local total price, delivery date and supported language before ordering. This opening of the sales channel does not by itself establish shipment volumes, recognized revenue or future profit.
For a different example of why reservations and finished sales need separating, see CapKet’s Roadster report on reservation terms and road-use limits.
