Huntington Bank opened early-access registration on October 19 for The 1866 Studio, an AI-powered small-business platform built with Google Cloud. Existing bank membership is not required to join. But registration is not the same as access to a generally available service.
The bank’s own product page calls this a waitlist and says launch is planned later this year. Applicants are told to expect a confirmation email and access details as they become available.
The rollout, in practical terms
| Item | Verified position | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| October 19 step | Early-access signups begin | Bank-issued announcement |
| Customer eligibility | Non-Huntington customers can join | Product-page FAQ |
| Availability | Waitlist now; launch planned later in 2026 | Access FAQ |
| Announced tasks | Business-launch planning, marketing materials and loan-readiness assistance | Initial capabilities |
| Financing caveat | Lending products remain subject to credit application and approval | Bank disclosure |
Guidance is not a loan decision
In its issuer release, Huntington describes agents intended to help owners plan registrations and operational setup, create marketing materials, and identify gaps in financing readiness. It says the system uses Google Cloud’s Gemini platform and models.
These are announced capabilities and intended benefits, not independently measured time savings or proof that every workflow is already available. A tool that explains lender expectations or helps prepare documents does not itself establish credit eligibility, an interest rate or approval.
For an owner, the immediate decision is whether to join the waitlist and review the resulting access information. The product page says additional capabilities will be introduced over time; it does not establish a full feature-by-feature launch timetable.
Check terms before relying on an AI workflow
The reviewed pages do not establish a service price or a guaranteed access date for each applicant. Owners should confirm the actual features and terms they receive before depending on the platform for business operations. Bank marketing descriptions should also remain distinct from demonstrated business outcomes.
