Dover reported an 8% increase in third-quarter revenue to $2.234 billion and an 11% rise in earnings from continuing operations to approximately $337 million. The 22 October 2026 results also showed 7% organic revenue growth. The main reading distinction is the earnings basis: continuing-operations EPS is different from both total-company EPS and adjusted EPS.
The financial statements cover the three months ended 30 September 2026. All monetary amounts below are US dollars. The issuer’s rounded summary and its detailed tables may differ slightly because of rounding.
Quarterly figures: keep the basis consistent
| Measure | Q3 2026 | Comparison or basis | Official evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue | $2.234 billion | $2.078 billion in Q3 2025; up 8% | Issuer financial report |
| Reported earnings, continuing operations | $337 million | $303 million in Q3 2025; up 11% | Issuer financial report |
| Adjusted earnings, continuing operations | $388 million | $361 million in Q3 2025; non-GAAP | Issuer financial report |
| Reported diluted EPS, continuing operations | $2.50 | $2.20 in Q3 2025 | Issuer financial report |
| Adjusted diluted EPS, continuing operations | $2.88 | $2.62 in Q3 2025; non-GAAP | Issuer financial report |
| Total net diluted EPS | $2.47 | Includes a $0.03 discontinued-operations loss | Issuer financial report |
What the adjustments change
Dover’s adjusted continuing-operations earnings exclude the after-tax effect of purchase-accounting expenses, restructuring and other costs, and gains on disposals as applicable. Those adjustments explain why the non-GAAP profit figure is higher than reported continuing-operations earnings. They do not create a second amount of cash or replace the accounts.
The detailed statements show approximately $333 million of total net earnings after the discontinued-operations loss. Calling the $337 million continuing-operations result total net profit would therefore misstate the basis.
Annual guidance and the order book
Dover’s 2026 outlook calls for reported EPS of $8.93-$9.08 and adjusted EPS of $10.60-$10.75, based on expected revenue growth of 7%-8% and organic growth of 5%-6%. These are management forecasts, not completed annual results.
Management said bookings increased across all five segments and outpaced shipments, with a significant part of backlog scheduled for 2027 delivery. Orders and backlog describe future work and execution obligations; they are not additional current-quarter revenue. Demand, shipment timing, input costs and acquisition integration can still affect the outcome.
