Colgate-Palmolive Company reported third-quarter global net sales of $5.369 billion, up 4.6% from a year earlier, and improved parts of its annual outlook. The US parent’s results were released on 30 October 2026.

Reported diluted EPS rose 3% to $0.94. Base Business EPS, a supplementary non-GAAP measure that excludes specified items, rose 7% to $0.97. These global dollar results are not Colgate-Palmolive India’s earlier quarterly announcement.

Sales growth has more than one component

Organic sales growth excludes the effects of foreign exchange, acquisitions and divestments under the company’s definition. It was 3.6%, below reported growth of 4.6%. The company said lower private-label pet-food sales reduced organic growth by 0.2 percentage point.

Gross margin was 60.2% under GAAP and 60.3% on a Base Business basis. Margin is the share of revenue remaining after the relevant costs, not a dollar amount to add to net sales. The release includes the reconciliation for its adjusted measures.

How the annual forecast changed

The company narrowed its forecast for 2026 net-sales growth to 4%–5% from 2%–6%, based on current spot exchange rates. It now expects Base Business EPS growth of 5%–7% rather than the earlier mid-single-digit description.

It also expects gross margin to increase on both reported and Base Business bases, compared with a previous expectation of roughly flat margins. These forecasts depend on management’s assumptions. They do not replace the reported quarterly figures or provide a guaranteed full-year outcome.

What to watch

Watch sales and margin delivery against the revised forecasts. Forecast growth is not an achieved full-year result, and the figures do not establish an investment return.
