Atos reported a narrower contraction in its main operating businesses in the third quarter, with combined Atos and Eviden revenue falling 2.4% organically year-on-year. That followed declines of 5.8% in the second quarter and 11.0% in the first, according to its October 21 official release.

Group reported revenue was €1.642 billion. The company also estimated September-end liquidity at €966 million and retained its 2026 targets. The figures indicate progress in its recovery, not a completed turnaround or a return to positive organic sales growth.

How to read the operating update

Measure Verified disclosure Primary source
Group reported revenue €1,642 million for Q3 2026 official release
Atos and Eviden combined organic revenue change Down 2.4% year-on-year, versus a 5.8% decline in Q2 official release
Order entry €1,024 million official release
Group book-to-bill Approximately 62% official release
Estimated September 30 liquidity €966 million: €896 million cash and equivalents plus €70 million undrawn revolving credit official release
2026 targets retained Around 5% organic revenue decline for Atos and Eviden; around 7% operating margin; positive defined net change in cash official release

Organic growth removes specified currency and portfolio effects to improve comparability. The 2.4% decline covers Atos and Eviden together, not an interchangeable total-group comparison: the release’s group-total table shows a 3.0% organic decline after including Global Structures.

Book-to-bill compares new orders with revenue recognized in the same period. A 62% ratio means quarterly orders were below quarterly revenue. It does not mean 62% of contracts were renewed, nor that the remaining percentage of current sales has disappeared.

Liquidity is broader than the cash balance

The €966 million liquidity estimate includes an undrawn credit facility, so it should not be described as cash in the bank. The comparable June-end liquidity figure was €948 million after the disclosed July 6 debt repayment adjustment.

Atos reported an estimated €44 million positive net change in cash under its defined measure, including approximately €50 million of restructuring outflows. That measure is before effects including currency movements, acquisitions and disposals, changes in advance customer payments, other financial assets and liabilities, factoring and refinancing fees. It is therefore not the same as the €18 million movement in the displayed liquidity totals.

Management retained its full-year targets and expects a stronger trajectory thereafter, but those remain expectations. Portfolio changes also complicate individual segment comparisons: the company specifically cautioned that Bull’s deconsolidation and revenue-recognition timing distort the Eviden comparison. Readers should track orders, recurring cash generation and execution costs alongside the improving revenue trend.
