Renault’s Indian product page for the Duster strong hybrid E-Tech 160 now displays a starting amount of ₹16,99,000. The useful caveat is that its separate price FAQ still carries pre-launch wording saying hybrid pricing will be announced closer to launch. CapKet therefore records the displayed starting amount, not a confirmed complete variant list or an on-road quotation.
What Renault has documented
The company’s 9 October 2026 release describes fuel efficiency of 29 km/l as ARAI-certified. It announced bookings from that date for ₹21,000, through Renault’s website or authorised dealerships, and scheduled the full market debut for 17 October 2026. An announced timetable is not, by itself, verification that the event or customer deliveries occurred. The source dates are retained here; the earlier announcement is not described as new today.

Why the mileage and price need separate checks
Renault says the system combines a petrol engine and electric motors, recovers energy during braking and does not require external charging. That does not make it a battery-only vehicle. The company’s certified mileage claim is also not a CapKet road test or a promise for every journey. Driving conditions can change actual consumption; this report makes no calculated savings or payback claim.
The brochure supports the powertrain specification, but promotional range and city-EV claims are not adopted as unconditional results. Do not confuse the booking amount with the vehicle’s price or infer delivery timing from a reservation. Ask for a written quotation specifying the exact hybrid version and charges. CapKet’s separate Toyota Glanza price-verification report illustrates why model, booking and price bases should remain distinct; it is not a like-for-like vehicle comparison.
