JK Cement reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹3,733.42 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, compared with ₹3,019.20 crore a year earlier. Total profit after tax was ₹169.30 crore, versus ₹159.25 crore. The board approved the unaudited results on 24 October.
The same filing approved a new water-based paint plant for wholly owned subsidiary JK Maxx Paints. The estimated ₹130 crore project is a future capacity investment, not a plant already producing revenue.

Two profit figures, not an adjusted-profit comparison
Total consolidated profit after tax and profit attributable to equity holders are different lines in the accounts. Attributable profit was ₹172.99 crore; the group also reported a ₹3.69 crore loss attributable to non-controlling interests, bringing total profit to ₹169.30 crore. These are reported accounting amounts, not a reported-versus-adjusted pair.
The comparison period also matters. Total profit increased from the previous September quarter, but was lower than the June 2026 quarter’s ₹274.62 crore. For April–September, total profit was ₹443.92 crore, compared with ₹483.50 crore a year earlier. A quarterly year-on-year increase should not be described as half-year profit growth.
What the ₹130 crore plant approval establishes
The proposed Telangana facility would add 75,000 kilolitres of annual water-based paint capacity at Raghunadhapalem in Suryapet district. JK Maxx’s existing Bhiwadi plant has 73,000 kilolitres of annual capacity and 60% utilisation, according to the filing.
The estimated capital cost sits within the ₹600 crore paint-business investment already approved by the board. It must not be added to that amount as a newly approved ₹730 crore programme. The filing expects commissioning about 12 months after construction begins; it does not establish a construction-start date or completed spending. Full use of Bhiwadi capacity by FY2027–28 is a projection, not a present operating fact.
Sources and what remains to watch
The financial figures come from the consolidated statement on page14 of JK Cement’s24 October board outcome; the paint project is described on page2. The issuer’s announcement index links that original document. Both are from the same issuer, not independent corroboration.
Subsequent filings can establish when construction starts and whether commissioning meets the stated expectation. This report does not establish a live share-price reaction, new project revenue or investment return.
