The practical question is what the quoted price includes. The 160R 4V has three introductory price points, while the 250R has a separate starting price. All are ex-showroom Delhi figures: a dealer’s final on-road quote can additionally include registration, insurance and chosen equipment.

Compare the extra cost before choosing a variant
Using Hero’s disclosed prices, the step from Standard to Pro is ₹1,37,000 − ₹1,27,000 = ₹10,000. Carbon adds ₹1,41,000 − ₹1,37,000 = ₹4,000 over Pro. The Standard-to-Carbon difference is ₹14,000. These comparisons use only the introductory ex-showroom prices and exclude financing charges and local on-road costs.
Hero’s product page lists electronic throttle control, Rain, Road and Sports modes, cruise control, a TFT screen and dual-channel ABS. The filing also describes new rider aids for the 250R. The relevant check is whether the exact motorcycle being booked includes the desired equipment; this report does not assign every advertised feature to every 160R variant.
Company specifications are not road-test results
The manufacturer’s acceleration and segment-leadership statements are marketing claims, not independent tests verified here. Its product page itself identifies the acceleration comparison as internal testing. Neither a launch nor a booking demonstrates completed retail sales, higher market share or an earnings gain.
