Hermès reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of €4.096 billion, up 5.5% at reported exchange rates and 4.3% at constant exchange rates. Its October 22 sales release also put nine-month revenue at €12.260 billion. The quarter and the nine-month period measure different spans and should not be mixed.
The figures show continuing sales growth, but not uniform progress across every product category. This is a revenue update, not a newly disclosed third-quarter profit figure. First-half profit numbers reproduced in the release remain first-half numbers.
Quarterly and nine-month figures
| Measure | Reported result | Official evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Q3 2026 revenue | €4,096 million versus €3,881 million a year earlier | Hermès Q3 release, page 4 |
| Q3 growth | 5.5% reported; 4.3% at constant exchange rates | Hermès Q3 release, page 4 |
| Nine-month revenue | €12,260 million versus €11,916 million | Hermès Q3 release, page 4 |
| Nine-month growth | 2.9% reported; 5.5% at constant exchange rates | Hermès Q3 release, page 4 |
| Q3 leather goods and saddlery | €1,912 million; growth 10.8% at constant exchange rates | Hermès Q3 release, page 5 |
Why the two growth rates differ
Reported growth uses the exchange rates reflected in the accounts. Constant-currency growth holds exchange rates comparable between periods to show the movement without that currency effect. Hermès explains that it applies the previous period’s average exchange rates to the current period’s revenue for this calculation.
The release’s opening text rounds quarterly sales to €4.1 billion and growth to 6% reported and 4% at constant exchange rates. The table above retains the more precise percentages from its financial tables; the apparent difference is rounding, not a different quarter.
Product categories did not move together
Leather goods and saddlery generated €1.912 billion in the quarter and grew 10.8% at constant exchange rates. On the same basis, ready-to-wear and accessories fell 2.0%, while watches fell 6.0%. The stronger leather result therefore should not be presented as growth across every business.
For readers following luxury demand, the useful comparison is the same period and the same currency basis. Sales growth alone does not establish a matching rise in profit, margins or the share price. The company’s stated medium-term revenue-growth ambition is an objective, not a guaranteed outcome.
