How to read the lending figures
The gross loan portfolio and gross advances are separate disclosed measures. Gross advances were ₹1,50,291 crore, up 27.9% year on year; this is not the same figure as the ₹1,53,769 crore gross loan portfolio. Keeping the labels attached to the amounts avoids overstating one measure with another.
The gross non-performing asset ratio measures loans classified as non-performing before provisions; the net ratio reflects the relevant provisions. The lower reported ratios are a period-end comparison, not a guarantee against future credit losses.
Quarterly profit is not first-half profit
For the six months ended September, reported profit was ₹1,654 crore, up 45%. That first-half amount must not be described as the September quarter’s ₹858 crore profit. No separate adjusted profit figure is presented in this report.
The bank’s net interest margin was 5.8% against 5.5% in the prior-year quarter. Because these displayed figures are rounded, subtracting them is not a substitute for a calculation using the bank’s underlying precision.
